If you are looking
at having a database written for your company or for your web
site, an existing database amended or converted, then call us
on 0116 254 7447 for a NO OBLIGATION FREE QUOTATION.
We will visit your site, look at your existing methods of working
and discuss your exact requirements.
We work in all versions of Microsoft Access and can convert
any Spreadsheets (eg. Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, etc.) into database
format. This saves you valuable time, as in most cases the information
that you are storing does not need to be re-entered when the
database is installed.
We can taylor your database to work over your existing network
to allow your staff to share information or even track the stage
of a project.
You can also be assured that we will work closely with you
to ensure that your requirements are met.
Let us make your IT equipment earn it's keep.
What is a database?
A database is used to store relevant information
in tables which are linked directly or indirectly which helps
in the reduction of duplicate entries.
Many companies already have a a few computers and may even have
them networked together, allowing the users to share files and
printers. If you are using a network then it is possible for
us to create a database that can be stored on your server for
all users connected to manage daily running of company information.
Paper Based Databases
Every business uses a database in one form
or another. If you do not have a computer within your company
you may have filing cabinets for your customers and suppliers
telling you of the services that the customer has purchased,
etc. This is known as a paper based manual database system and
is good structure to have, but if you wanted to find out various
types of information from all of your sales within the last
month for example, you would have to go through each customer
file and retrieve the relevant bits of information. This could
take months. We can make a computerised database system that
can do things like this at the touch of a button.
Microsoft Excel or Lotus Notes
If you are using a computer you may be collecting
and saving information in spreadsheet format such as, Microsoft
Excel or Lotus Notes. When we create database files we can usually
import the information that you have in spreadsheets to prevent
you having to type in all of your data again.
